Program description The role of civil society is vital in providing an informed input into the policy development process. While there are a number of civil society organizations (CSOs) specialized in concrete issues, the consultative potential of civil society often remains underutilized. In that sense, there is a need for facilitating improved dialogue between the government and the civil society and strengthening the role of civil society in policymaking. This assistance effort will focus on improving the dialogue between government agencies and civil society groups and facilitating better cooperation in policy development.
The participant group will include GOAM members, active members of CSOs engaged in advocacy and policy making, as well as relevant staff from the Human Rights Defender’s Office. The group will consist of 12 participants.
